Dr. Wagner came to Charlotte in 2003. A native of northeastern Pennsylvania, Dr. Wagner attended medical school at Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her surgical residency at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. During this time, she developed an interest in surgical diseases of the endocrine system, and pursued this in the form of a clinical fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
Dr. Wagner is Board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society and the Mecklenburg County Medical Society.
Dr. Wagner provides the full range of general surgical care, including treatment of breast disease, hernias, skin lesions and surgery of the intra abdominal organs, including laparoscopic approaches where appropriate. Her special interest is in surgical treatment of endocrine disorders, including the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands, as well as treatment of pancreatic endocrine tumors. She also serves as a Trauma Surgeon for Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Wagner sees patients at the Mid-Town Medical Plaza Office on Randolph Road.
