Welcome to the website of Surgical Specialists of Charlotte, P.A.
We are excited about our new changes!
Our group was formed in January 2009 from the merger of Charlotte Surgical Group and Dilworth Surgical Specialists. Both of these groups have been providing outstanding surgical care in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community for over 30 years. We now have 19 surgeons providing an array of general and specialty surgical care, including many fellowship-trained sub-specialists. We have 8 office locations throughout Charlotte. Our Pineville and University offices are currently still separate but will be in new common locations on their hospital campus by the summer of 2009. We also anticipate a new office location at the new Mercy Medical Office complex in the summer of 2009. The Mercy office will also contain the Surgical Specialists certified Vascular Lab and Vein Care Center, as well as the Colorectal Clinic. All these projects are ongoing. These new facilities will be state-of-the art, and provide efficient, convenient care for our patients in new attractive offices. Our Huntersville, Matthews and Randolph Road locations will remain the same.
The physicians at Surgical Specialists have been providing care in the Charlotte area for many years. All physicians are Board Certified and are Fellows/Candidates of the American College of Surgeons. Our doctors have served in leadership roles within the hospital systems and have held the Chairmanship of Surgery at virtually all the hospitals over the years. We appreciate the opportunity to care for you and your families, and we will endeavor to provide the highest quality surgical services. When you are referred here by a friend or physician it is because they trust that you will receive an honest, expert opinion. Our practice has a surgeon on call for you 24/7 to handle emergencies at all the hospitals and phone calls from home. Our excellent staff will help you file insurance, fill out disability forms and navigate your way through the surgery process. Our nurses will help you with clinical questions, wound care, patient education and much more.
